Beginning in Batam in the year of 2002, then fast forward to twenty-one hotels later, HARRIS – a network of midscale hotels avidly supporting the healthy lifestyle movement is turning fourteen years young this year with special celebrations involving Indonesian families simultaneously in five key cities: Batam, Bekasi, Malang, Bali & Pontianak on Sunday, 4 December 2016.
Marking the seventh edition this year, HARRIS Hotels’ Brand Manager – Stefano de Champeaux has big hopes for the annual event saying, “This is a beloved hotel brand which has been around for years and we’ve maintained extremely consistent communication around the healthy lifestyle movement. Furthermore families have always been key contributors to our business and we love having children around our hotels.”
From time to time HARRIS Hotels have also been in close relationship with bike communities all over the country and they have long supported this event – having called it many times the ‘Orange Day’ which falls every December of the year.
This year HARRIS DAY is aiming to attract ten thousand people nationwide, and especially with the newly improved carnival theme – more draw is expected.

HARRIS DAY – Bali at HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Denpasar
HARRIS DAY in Bali will be held at HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Denpasar from 6AM to 12PM under the supervision of Arnauld Kindt, Cluster General Manager – Bali region involving eight HARRIS Hotels.
The fun bike parade will run for 14km passing through Jalan Sutomo – Jalan Gajahmada – Lapangan Niti Mandala Renon.
The region has prepared plenty other entertaining activities such as Beleganjur (traditional Balinese gamelan performance), zumba dance, magician show for kids, cheerleading, dangdut koplo, BMX freestyles, flash mob, coloring competition & kid’s game corner (including bouncy castle, dart balloon, odong-odong, frisbee & electrical train) with entrance ticket of IDR 10,000/person.
HARRIS DAY – Central & East Java at HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Malang
HARRIS DAY will be held at HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Malang from 5AM to 12PM under the supervision of Stylianos Koureas, Cluster General Manager – Central & East Java involving two HARRIS Hotels.
Special performances have been aptly prepared to further engage with the public including reog ponorogo, fire juggling, band performance, bazaar (in partnership with local procurement agency & online shops), face painting, traditional snack corner & mobile H’spa and HARRIS Boutique.
HARRIS DAY – Jakarta & West Java at HARRIS Hotel & Conventions Bekasi
HARRIS DAY for Jakarta & West Java will be held at the parking lot of Summarecon Mall Bekasi from 6AM to 5.30PM under the supervision of Hengky Tambayong, Cluster General Manager – West Java & Georges Sirguey, Cluster General Manager – Jadetabek involving seven HARRIS Hotels.
Specially to entertain the public & hotel customers, the region partners with Warner Music Indonesia to bring in top celebs: Saykoji, Naff, Dhyo Haw, DJ B$RD & DJ Max Wright from Russia.
In addition to various other entertainment including capoeira, HARRIS Band, bottle flair show, marching band, stilt walker, clown & juggler, healthy cooking demo, tattoo artist, ball pool, food truck, blood donation & FREE eye check.
There will be plenty other competitive games including healthy flair mixology, barista, drone, parkour & last but never least, social media.
HARRIS DAY – Batam at HARRIS Hotel Batam Center
HARRIS DAY in Batam will be held at Lapangan Engku Putri from 6AM to 1PM under the supervision of M. Mufrani – General Manager of HARRIS Hotel Batam Center & Romain Huet – General Manager of HARRIS Resort Waterfront Batam.
The list of entertainment includes live band, HARRIS Move, BMX freestyles, juggling, live cooking demo, kid’s game corner, food market, bazaar, drawing competitions involving local elementary schools, cheerleading competition & blood donation.
HARRIS DAY – Pontianak at HARRIS Hotel Pontianak
HARRIS DAY in Pontianak will be held at Alun-Alun Kapuas from 6AM to 10AM under the supervision of Andi Grinaldi Mattinetta – Hotel Manager of HARRIS Hotel Pontianak.
For this year, the hotel would only participate in fun bike parade with supporting entertainment series including live DJ show, HARRIS Move & fun games for the kids.***
